Biography

Forty years of experience in obtaining and managing research funds, conducting research projects, publishing and presenting results, interacting with academic, industrial, and government communities, lecturing both in the U.S. and abroad, and supervising students and technical staff in the laboratory in both academia and industry. An excellent track record for developing well-funded research programs sponsored by DoD (AFOSR, AFRL, AMRDEC, DTRA, MDA, NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NSWC, ONR), DoE, DoT, EPA, FAA, NASA, NSF, and private companies. Technical interests include materials and thermal science research. Currently specializing in “Polymer Nanocomposites Technology Designed for Extreme Environments.”Dr. Koo has extensive industry and scholastic knowledge, as well as a lengthy portfolio of publications under his belt. His expertise in the field make him an invaluable resource.
